Kusadasi
is a seaside resort town on the West Coast of Turkey and is
fast becoming the hottest holiday spot in Turkey. With
a base population of 50,000 people and quite a few more than
that during the summer months, its clear blue water, variety
of beaches and buzzing atmosphere make it a great place to
visit. Despite the number of holiday makers visiting
Kusadasi and the regular cruise ships that pull into the
port it has managed to maintain its feeling of being a
Turkish town with locals and holiday makers alike enjoying
all that this town has to offer.
Kusadasi
offers a wide variety of options for holidays depending on
what you are after. There is the buzzing centre of
town, the sleepy villages, the spectacular National Park and
a whole lot in between. For this reason there is also
a wide range of property options depending on what you are
after in your holiday home or what you hope to achieve with
your investment.
Kusadasi
is accessible from Izmir airport which is only 1 hour by
road but you also have the option of flying into Bodrum
which although is 2 hours away by road it opens up a number
of opportunities for international flights. During the
summer months there are many charter airlines flying into
both Izmir and Bodrum airport from the UK, Ireland and
throughout Europr and both are well serviced during winter
months but flights do tend to be less frequent. With
Turkey becoming one of the sought after holiday destinations
a number of major airlines are considering scheduling
flights there and this coupled with the cheapness and ease
of domestic flights makes getting to Kusadasi very easy.
Kusadasi
is only 20 minutes away by road to the famous Ephesus ruins,
an ancient roman city that is still very much intact and
impressive to see. Visitors come here all year round to see
Ephesus as well as a number of other archaeologically and
historically significant sites such as the Temple of
Artemis, House of the Virgin Mary, Cave of the Seven
Sleepers, St. Johns Basilica and much more. There are
also excellent day trip opportunities such as the calcium
terraces at Pamukkale, trips to nearby villages such as
Kirazli and Sirince and you can easily spend a day in the
beautiful and unpopulated setting of the nearby National
Park.
Kusadasi
boasts two massive water parks called Adaland and Aqua
Fantasy and both are a short drive out of town on local
transport. As well as this there is a large marina
which hosts a number of luxury international boats each
summer and there are plans for expanding and improving the
surrounding areas and the existing bars and restaurants that
can be found there.

Kusadasi
has become very popular with holiday home buyers as once you
go there it is difficult to not want to come back year after
year and it therefore makes sense to have your own place to
relax and call home . The popularity in the property
market in Kusadasi has also made it a great place to invest
and there are excellent buying opportunities for both
apartments and villas available in all areas.
However,
all this is really just our opinion and possibly slightly
biased seeing as we call Kusadasi home. If you have
not been here before then come over and visit us and see
what you think for yourself. Although we are sure you will
agree with us that Kusadasi really is a fantastic piece of
paradise which still has so much of that famous Turkish
hospitality and culture that other towns have lost. |
